As the fasting month of Ramadan draws near for Muslims worldwide, we would like to invite everyone to an Interfaith breaking of the fast “Iftar” dinner. In a time where an outspoken minority aims to create a religious, cultural or ethnic divide, it is so much more important for us in the Deaf community to come together and bear witness to our shared culture, faith and love in God.
Your participation in this event – to build bridges and understand one another – will be greatly valued.
Please RSVP to join us at Peikoff House, Gallaudet University on June 15th, 2017 – no cost.
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” (Quran 49:13)
