NAAP-DC’s #NightOfGiving: An Iftar Across America

Ramadan Kareem! In the spirit of this holy month, NAAP-DC would like to invite you to its 2nd annual #NightofGiving Iftar on Thursday, June 25th at 7:30pm with the support of Islamic Relief USA! This year, NAAP-DC’s event theme is, “Community Empowerment: Engaging and Helping at Home.” Come out to hear from two outstanding speakers from our own community.

Ahmad Nassar is President of the NFL Players, Inc., the NFLPA’s for-profit licensing and marketing arm. Mr. Nassar, named one of the Forty under 40 in 2014, will be describing his inspiring journey through the ranks as a lawyer and Arab-American. Along with Mr. Nassar, we’ll be hearing from the honorable Delegate Sam Rasoul from the 11th House District in the Virginia House of Delegates. Mr. Rasoul has spent 17+ years dedicating himself to his Virginia community; and, during his service in the House of Delegates has encouraged substantial economic and community development.

You’ll also learn about Islamic Relief USA’s programs both here and abroad; and, hear about the ways that you can give back. Doors open at 7:30pm and the program will begin promptly at 8:00pm. Seats are limited, so make sure to buy your ticket ASAP.

On this special night, all of NAAP’s chapters across America will be hosting an iftar in the hopes of raising funds for Islamic Relief USA. Last year, you raised over $100,000 for charity and with your support, we’re hoping to make an even bigger impact this year!

This year’s iftar is being held at Stonefish Restaurant in Washington, D.C. with a full halal menu. As you purchase your ticket, please make sure to select whether you’d like the halal Chicken Fettuccine or the Blackened Salmon. All entrees will come with appetizers, sides, dessert, and unlimited drinks.

The restaurant is located directly off of the Farragut North Metro stop. We recommend that you utilize the metro; however, if necessary there are parking garages nearby.
